The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart sold 78 store heifers in Dumfries yesterday to a top of 225.6p per kg and an average of 187.3p, while 125 beef-bred, store bullocks peaked at 228.9p and levelled at 194.8p.
Thirty B&W store bullocks sold to 177.3p and averaged 150.2p, while 5 young bulls peaked at 231.5p and levelled at 208.6p.
John Swan Ltd sold 30 prime bullocks in St Boswells yesterday to average 211p (-3p on the week), while 31 prime heifers levelled at 215.1p (+5.1p).
