SCOTTISH Development International is intending to open seven more offices and increase its overseas staff by 25 to 125 as it eyes up opportunities in emerging markets, notably those with a large oil industry.
The expansion of the agency, which has 22 offices across the globe, comes after a multi-million-pound boost to SDI.
Among the areas that could welcome an SDI presence are West Africa, Brazil including Rio de Janeiro and possibly Sao Paolo, western China, Bangalore in India, a Nordic country and Calgary in Canada.
