SCOTTISH Finance Secretary John Swinney last night took advantage of global interest in the Olympic Games to set out the stall of the financial services sector north of the Border, with an eye on attracting inward investment.

Mr Swinney, speaking at a Scottish Government reception in London to which representatives from overseas and UK financial services businesses were invited, cited Scotland's "global reputation for financial services excellence, with the infrastructure and skilled workforce that can deliver success".
