It was almost predictable that Facebook’s exalted IPO (initial public offering) would be followed by an equally high-profile dip. As rollercoasters go, it took a good old nosedive, but Mark Zuckerberg shouldn’t worry about losing his lunch just yet.

IPOs generally come with no small amount of pressure, the details of which have been outlined very publicly since a listing was first mooted. Facebook’s stock market debut probably launched with the greatest weight of expectation and cynicism in recent memory.
