THE chief executive of BSW Timber Group has been named Scottish entrepreneur of the year in awards run by accountancy firm Ernst & Young.
Since taking over at the Berwickshire company in 2008, Tony Hackney has grown turnover by 60% to £163 million and improved a loss-making position to a £12.4m pre-tax profit.
Jim Bishop, Scotland senior partner at Ernst & Young, said: "Tony has achieved outstanding results in a short period of time, transforming BSW into a market-leading business.
