GLASGOW-based Intelligent Pensions has complained that a leading provider "lost" one of its client's pension savings.

Intelligent Pensions, which handles retirement issues for financial advisers, said the problem arose when the firm sought to rejig the unnamed client's arrangements following the abolition of "protected rights" – money built up by opting out of the state second pension or its predecessor, the State Earnings-Related Pension Scheme.
