Stephen Brooks, a steel fabricator from Kilmacolm, Inverclyde, was back at work this week after a lengthy absence following a motorbike accident.
He said: "I was off work for six months – things were very tight."
After switching his current account to the Nationwide four months ago, Mr Brooks became eligible for the building society's Select credit card, which offers 0% on balance transfers for 20 months and 0% on purchases for 12 months, as well as cash back on purchases.
