IT isn't usual for a Tory peer to have much to say about class, but the fourth Baron Moynihan – Colin to his friends – has proved an exception.
Among those busy promoting happy thoughts of a nation united by sport he will probably be accused of spoiling the Olympic party. That doesn't mean he should be disqualified from comment.
Moynihan is hard to shut up, in any case. A silver medallist at the Moscow Olympics – he sat in the back of the rowing boat shouting at the others – and a sports minister under Thatcher, he these days chairs the British Olympic Association. To the tabloids, this makes him our "Team GB chief". The chief is appalled, it turns out, by a shortage of Indians.
