France is unashamedly elitist: if you don't have the certificate, then you don't have the job

For those of us who get depressed about the future when thinking about the illiterates who inhabit the worlds of texting, Twitter, Facebook and other social media, I bring hope.

OMG. Hope. LOL.

Hope that, in the global dumbing-down of spelling and grammar, when even the British prime minister texts and chillaxes, there is a corner of the world where philosophers are prized above pundits and intellect above cool.
