In praise of - instant coffee.

There are some who will baulk at the notion of praising instant coffee granules.

I know this, because I know them.

They hate instant coffee – it's a waste of drinking time, they say, not worth the water it's made from. Better to drink the real stuff, freshly (or as fresh as vacuum-sealed bags can offer) ground coffee made with freshly boiled water. "Instant?" they say. "No thanks." Apparently they'd rather drink water. Or, horror of all horrors, another flavour of caffeinated beverage instead.
