WHAT a sad, boring and depressing world W Holloway would have us live in (Letters, July 4).
No-one would take part in sports whether for fun, fitness or competition. We would be deprived of the spectacle of the human body being pushed to the limits of physical and mental activity, the excitement of watching Andy Murray at Wimbledon or the joy of Spain on the football pitch.
