The calibre of debate on renewable energy, and wind farms in particular, makes me despair.
Both pro- and anti- lobbies jump on whatever piece of evidence comes to hand to support their case regardless of the quality of the evidence. The latest example is the SNP welcome for a poll purporting to show higher support for wind power in Scotland than elsewhere in the UK ("Clegg's claim on green policies", The Herald, August 6).
