Malcolm Allan suggests that the world would be a better place if governments, organisations and individuals were to adopt the values stated in the annual report of a national firm of bakers (Letters, April 25).

He quoted a section from the report: "We will be enthusiastic and supportive in all that we do; open, honest and appreciative, treating everyone with fairness, consideration and respect."

I agree; then we'd all be having our cake and eating it.
