On behalf of The Musica Scotica Trust, we write to voice our concern, along with many others, about the closing of Columba House in Edinburgh and the dispersal of the Scottish Catholic Archives  between Aberdeen University Library, Glasgow and the many dioceses throughout Scotland.

Similar concerns were raised in the 13th century by the monks of Pluscarden to Andrew, Bishop of Moray. In his Charter to the Prior and Convent of Pluscardyn, dated April 30, 1240, the bishop wrote, agreeing that:
