Why is James Clerk Maxwell not celebrated (Letters, August 8 & 9)?
Because he was obstructed. By whom? Sir William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, is the obvious candidate. All he had to do was mention Maxwell in the high places he frequented and honours should have descended upon him.
