Gordon Henderson, who has died aged 73 of cancer, was a former Clydesdale Bank assistant general manager and a stalwart of the Scottish Outward Bound Association.
He was born in Falkirk and educated at Falkirk High School. In 1955 he was accepted as an apprentice by the Clydesdale Bank. Following National Service with the RAF, during which time he completed his Institute of Bankers in Scotland exams. He re-entered branch banking at Denny.
