More than 180,000 visitors are expected to attend this year's Royal Highland Show at Ingliston, near Edinburgh.
The event is the largest equestrian show in Scotland and this year also holds the World Charolais Cattle Congress, with visitors from Brazil, Nigeria, Canada and Turkey.
Around 5000 prize livestock are expected to be on display in the coming days, as well as traditional countryside-themed exhibits including home baking, garden produce and handicrafts.
