Apple unveiled the latest evolution of its popular iPad earlier this month at a packed launch event in London.

Alongside demos of the new model, Apple revealed some impressive statistics – with 15 million iPads sold in the last quarter of 2011, Apple now sells more tablets than any other company sells computers.

The new model is titled simply iPad, rather than iPad 3 as most pundits had predicted. It makes sense from a marketing point of view, but I suspect it'll cause confusion in years to come: "Do you have a case for the iPad they started selling in March 2012?"
