A POSTMAN who spent years dumping thousands of junk mail letters has been ordered to carry out 300 hours' unpaid work.

At Perth Sheriff Court, Kevin Ewing, 31, of Wallace Crescent, Perth, admitted four charges relating to the non-delivery of postal packets and admitted stealing 672 postal packets between July 9, 2009, and March 5, 2013, and delaying 630 between August and December last year. He also admitted delaying 1,150 un-addressed postal packets on October 1, 2013.

Ewing also admitted stealing 2,915 packets between 21 November and 11 December last year.
