A bar manager has kept her licence despite being convicted of drink driving because a Sheriff believed she had unwittingly eaten jelly laced with vodka.

The driver, Donna Forbes, spoke after the case and vowed: "Drivers should be more careful about checking what they eat."

Sheriff Ian Abercrombie had found the 30-year-old mother-of-two guilty in February, despite her insistence that she had consumed the alcohol unknowingly.
