Scottish students have lowest debts

STUDENTS from Scotland have some of the lowest debts in the UK when they graduate, new figures show.

Statistics from the Student Loans Company show the average student loan debt for Scots was the lowest in the UK, at £6480 compared to an average of £17,140 in England, £13,650 in Wales and £15,880 in Northern Ireland.
