A LEADING Scottish university has scrapped plans to cut the opening hours of its medical library after opposition from students.
Medical students at Glasgow University currently have 24-hour access to the library, but officials wanted opening times restricted from 8am to 8pm on weekdays.
The university said the move had been suggested after concerns over the behaviour of a minority of students during hours where there were no staff on duty.
