TEACHERS' leaders have warned that cuts in support for trainee educational psychologists in Scotland will damage the education of vulnerable young people.

The Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), the country's largest teaching union, has called on the Scottish Government to reverse its plan to cut funding for postgraduate courses in educational psychology.

Drew Morrice, EIS assistant secretary, has written to Michael Russell, the Education Secretary, urging the rethink.
