A MOTHER has accused Scotland's biggest health board of negligence after doctors lost vital test results that showed her daughter was suffering from a rare condition which has now left her paralysed.

Marlyn Alison plans to sue NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) over the mix-up, which she says meant doctors lost a seven-month opportunity to provide her daughter Karen with the correct treatment.

Karen, 38, suffers from Neuromyelitis optica (NMO), or Devic's disease, which attacks the spinal column and is treated with powerful anti-inflammatory drugs.
