JUDGES hearing a "right-to-die" plea by severely-disabled Tony Nicklinson have been given details of the plight of a second locked-in syndrome sufferer who needs help to die.

The 47-year-old man, named only as Martin for legal reasons, suffered a massive stroke in August 2008. As a result, he is unable to speak and virtually unable to move.

Lord Justice Toulson, sitting in London with Mr Justice Royce and Mrs Justice Macur, was told Martin wants to die but can only do so with assistance.
