Battle countdown marked with sign

A HOLLYWOOD-STYLE sign to mark the campaign to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn will be launched today.

The sign, with 4ft-high letters aimed to reminiscent of the famous Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, will be erected at the Bannockburn heritage centre site in Stirlingshire as part of a campaign to start a "700-day countdown" towards the anniversary of the battle.
