SCIENCE has made TV stars out of physicist Brian Cox, maths presenter Johnny Ball and CBeebies' Nina and the Neurons.

Now the BBC in Scotland is to look for new science stars from north of the Border.

BBC Scotland's new head of specialist factual programming, Natalie Humphreys, is to launch a search for scientists at Scotland's universities and other institutions to front programmes and research for its new shows.
