The man who brought red-carpet glamour back to the Edinburgh International Film Festival has signed up to the event for another three years.

Artistic director Chris Fujiwara, who had been appointed initially for only one year, agreed a new contract just days after this year's event ended in a star-studded UK premiere of the Disney Pixar movie Brave. He not only revived red-carpet galas, but also the festival's major awards, now in their 66th year, which took on a more international theme than last year's poorly received "stripped down" event.
