A HERITAGE body has called for one of Scotland's most historic streets to be made more pedestrian-friendly.
The Cockburn Association's director, Marion Williams, made the call for Edinburgh's Royal Mile at an event arranged by the city council to plan the future of the tourist destination that runs from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to Edinburgh Castle.
