SCOTLAND'S national galleries have teamed up with internet giant Google to put more than 100 of their masterpieces in a high- definition online gallery.

The National Galleries of Scotland yesterday announced the partnership, the only one of its kind in Scotland, with search engine Google, which will see 150 works of art from the national collection put online.

The works, including paintings by Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, Raeburn and Titian, are now part of the Google Art online gallery, it was announced at a press conference in Paris yesterday.
