POLICE have called in colleagues from across the UK and Northern Ireland as they try to identify a man whose body was discovered in water on the west coast of Scotland.

The body of the man, whose death is being treated as unexplained, was discovered off the Isle of Lismore, Argyll, at about 8pm on Friday by passengers on a passing boat.

Strathclyde Police said the body was not recovered by officers and the coastguard until Saturday afternoon due to weather conditions.
