Elisabeth Murdoch tonight told an Edinburgh audience that her brother, James, had been wrong when he said the TV business was only about profit.
She urged the media industry instead to embrace social morality and reject the pursuit of profit at all costs, which James championed before scandal engulfed News Corp.
Ms Murdoch made the remarks in the MacTaggart Lecture at the annual Edinburgh Television Festival, three years after James Murdoch used the same platform to confront a largely hostile audience. Read her full speech
