A LEADING Scottish academic has been made Europe's first chief scientific adviser – a role that will help shape shape European policy on the environment, climate change and health.
Professor Anne Glover is Scotland's chief scientific adviser and has spent five years looking to enhance the country's reputation in the world of science prior to being chosen for the new role by European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso.
