Firefighters were attacked with a space hopper during one of hundreds of assaults on emergency services staff in the north-east of Scotland, new figures revealed yesterday.
Dozens of Grampian Fire and Rescue Service crews have also had fireworks, eggs, stones and bottles launched at them while trying to carry out their duties.
A Freedom of Information request revealed staff responding to calls have even been faced with weapons like blades and BB guns.
