The start of the Edinburgh festivals season and Britain's successful Olympics have been credited for one of the best weeks for whisky sales in Edinbugh.
Owners of the Scotch Whisky Experience said the international draw of the major events helped sell 37 rare and premium bottlings in the past seven days, worth £42,570, contributing to the highest weekly retail figures since the shop reopened following a recent £1 million refurbishment.
