Finance ministry officials in Greece say the country's economy will recover faster if it is given two more years to cut its budget deficit, it was reported yesterday.
The estimate agrees with the view of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras who has tried to win such an extension in the past and is expected to refloat the proposal this week with the leaders of France, Germany and the euro group.
