MORE pressure was piled on Jeremy Hunt, the embattled UK Culture Secretary, last night as a poll showed that the public, by a margin of five to one, believes he should quit in light of the Murdoch row.

As the Westminster war of words continued – with Labour demanding a Whitehall probe into whether Mr Hunt broke the ministerial code and the Coalition refusing one – a survey of 2000 people by Comres showed 63% agreed that Mr Hunt should go. Only 12% disagreed while 24% did not know.
