THE committee looking at evidence on renewable energy faces a demand for further evidence to be taken in the wake of an appearance by a Westminster minister yesterday.
Ed Davey, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, claimed Scotland's renewables targets could hike energy bills in Scotland, while defending nuclear expansion in England.
Mr Davey was accused of "madhouse" economics by claiming independence would put up energy bills when the UK allegedly penalises Scots with high energy costs.
