NHS chiefs have admitted Edinburgh could lose specialist children's health services if plans for a new £250 million sick kids hospital for the capital are abandoned.
Children's neuroscience is one of the key specialities that could transfer to Glasgow, NHS Lothian believes.
However, the board insists the risk is small as it is confident the much-delayed new hospital will be given the go-ahead.
