A LABOUR councillor who was suspended over remarks he made to a nine-year-old alleged rape victim has been barred from standing for the party in May's local election.
A statement issued by Scottish Labour confirmed last night that Glasgow councillor Willie O'Rourke has been "suspended from holding or seeking representative office" for 18 months. The ban coincides with local government elections on May 3.
