Ed Miliband speech in full: defending the Union

This speech was delivered on Thursday, June 7 at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

It is wonderful to be here in the Royal Festival Hall. Built for the Festival of Britain in 1951, just a year before Her Majesty the Queen ascended to the throne.

1951 and the Festival of Britain and the Coronation in 1953 were landmark events for our country.
