Fringe players given a chance to prove worth TEAMs TEAMs

SALTIRES' fringe players will get the chance to stake their claim for promotion in this week's three-day match with Ireland A at Uddingston.

Five uncapped players, including 16-year-old batting prospect Andrew Umeed, have been named in the Development XI for the match which starts this morning.

Places are also up for grabs in next month's Intercontinental Cup meeting with Canada.
