John Baird, the Queen of the South striker, is determined to create another lasting memory against Rangers, when his side travel to Ibrox tomorrow.

The 29-year-old scored the winning goal in his last appearance against Rangers - as a Raith Rovers player in the Ramsdens Cup final last term.

He considers that stabbed finish to be the best moment in his career, but hopes to have an experience to rival that when he makes his first trip to Ibrox in the league.

"It's something that you dream of as a kid, scoring the winner against Rangers," said Baird. "It was something special. I'd imagine there probably won't be too many people fancying us at Rangers but the players in our dressing room will be confident and that's the most important thing."
