JOHN YORKSTON, the Dunfermline Athletic chairman, has called for the Scottish Premier League to resolve the identity of Club 12 before the Scottish Football League convenes next Friday to vote on the future of Rangers.
Dunfermline, relegated from the SPL last season, and Dundee, runners-up to Ross County in the first division, both believe they should fill the vacancy that arose after the SPL clubs elected not to hand Rangers newco a place in next season's top division. No date has yet been set for when the Club 12 matter will be resolved, but Yorkston believes the delay is not helping anyone.
