DEREK ADAMS, the Ross County manager, will not give up his pursuit of Slovenian full-back Uros Celcer despite rival interest from clubs in mainland Europe.

Celcer, who has one year remaining on his contract at Parma, has joined County on their pre-season tour of the Netherlands and is understood to be keen on a move to Scotland. However, negotiations with Parma have slowed as other clubs have registered an interest.

"We're still working on a deal - nothing is complete yet," said Adams, who has also taken French teenager Rosario Latouchent to the Netherlands. "The rival interest is strong but with us having him here it can help."
