NEVER let it be said that Scottish football shows any mercy.

At the PFA Scotland annual dinner last month one table of guests came to the guest speaker’s attention for being a bit too boisterous. “Who’s at that table in the corner?” asked the man with the mic, comedian Kevin Bridges. “Dunfermline,” came the shouted response from their high-spirited players. “Ah, the Galacticos of Dunfermline,” said Bridges. “Is that you celebrating your relegation from the SPL in 12 months?”
