DYLAN McGeouch had to be stretchered off the pitch by paramedics, then rushed to hospital, after being involved in a sickening clash with Nuri Sahan midway through Celtic's friendly with Real Madrid at Lincoln Financial Field.

McGeouch's jaw was hit full force by Sahin's shoulder, and he appeared to be unconscious before he hit the ground. Neil Lennon rushed over to his side when it became clear the player's condition was serious, the stretcher sent on initially replaced by a hospital trolley. The rest of the match was played in a subdued atmosphere, as Real Madird ran out 2-0 winners.
