Grant Forrest, the newly crowned Scottish Amateur champion, has, as expected, been rewarded for his Royal Dornoch success on Saturday with a call-up to the Scotland team for next week's Home Internationals at Glasgow Gailes, writes Nick Rodger.

The 19-year-old, who beat Bearsden's Richard Docherty 9 and 7 in the final, forms part of an 11-man side for the annual encounters with England, Ireland and Wales.

Forrest is one of seven new faces in the squad and is joined by Ross Bell, Jack McDonald, Matthew Clark, Scott Borrowman, Paul Ferrier and Fraser McKenna. The only players in the team with past experience of Home Internationals are Brian Soutar, Paul Shields, James White and Graeme Robertson.
