There was something of a generation game going on in the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open at a cold and menacingly windy Archerfield Links yesterday.
While the Perthshire teenager Carly Booth finished in a three-way tie at the top, Laura Davies, the grande dame of the women's scene, re-affirmed her affinity for golf on Scotland's turf as she kept herself clinging to the coattails of the young upstarts with a round to play.
