Great Britain were unable to match their female counterparts and win the bronze medal, after being outplayed by Australia, but coach Jason Lee is still resisting calls for the four home nations to come together full-time in one team.

Heading into yesterday's game off the back of a 9-2 mauling by the Netherlands, Team GB fell behind to Simon Orchard's 17th minute strike only for Iain Lewers to level things up.

But while they came from 3-0 down to snatch a draw against Australia in the group stages, another comeback did not seem likely. Second-half goals from Jamie Dwyer and Kieran Govers ensured Lee's side would finish their campaign without a medal, and he admitted that might be the final act of his remarkable involvement in the British set-up.
